This the bands second release in 2019 follows in the footsteps of their first release. I agree that when psychedelic instrumental rock is done properly it is a spiritual awakening of all senses. As stated mind blowing.

Can't say I'm a fan of this band, but desert and stoner doesn't come much better than the vast, epic, twenty minute jam that is Dying on the Mountain. This song is just brilliant. All locked into a bass groove provided by none other than Mr Nick Oliveri (who seems to be behaving himself here!).

With all respect due to Nick DiSalvo, who is incredibly talented, the proggy vocals are not what I love the most with Elder. What I love the most, I'll admit, is the incredible synthy, krauty goodness, from the track Sonntag on the previous album to the wonderful delving LP Hirschbrunnen. I think these instrumental Sessions were a major step in that direction, and I love them dearly for it.
